Experired International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences
Starting in fiscal year 2011, the International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences will no longer be recruiting new students. The International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences was established in 1996 as a European-model vocational school. In 2001, the graduate-level lab department was reorganized into a graduate school, the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences.
The Academy cultivated creators with the high level skills that support our information-based society. It enabled students to specialize their field while gaining proficiency in a wide variety of technologies and theories integral to the modern, information era. Within its time, IAMAS has sent off over 310 students into society, where their activities and efforts are receiving high praise.
Hereafter, we hope to further develop the educational research conducted in the Academy by passing it on to the Institute. The faculty will strive to preserve the spirit of IAMAS while maximizing its value, and earn IAMAS an even higher reputation domestically and abroad.
We are also working hard so that current students can continue to count on quality educational and career support even during this period of sudden change.
We would like to thank all students, alumni, everyone else involved with IAMAS, as well as local area residents for all of their kindness. We ask for your understanding regarding the circumstances of the Academy's student recruitment stoppage and for your cooperation and encouragement in the future.
