Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences Media Creations Course
IAMAS was founded as an educational institution for a new age in which industry, art, and lifestyle are intimately connected and new relationships between disciplines are coalescing thanks to the advancement of technology. The base of our research and education lies in a “knowledge of creation” that is constantly in touch with society.
“Media Creation” is the idea of giving form to communication and information through various activities in society. Through design and planning, the existence of this “knowledge of creation” is reconsidered using cutting-edge information technology.
The goal of IAMAS is to cultivate high-level creators and researchers who approach the creative process from a wider viewpoint and combine specialized technology with philosophical, artistic expression.

Research and expression of design as a social interface
Studio 3 focuses on learning the basics and applications of a wide variety of design fields, ranging from information media to spatial environment design. During their study, students will acquire practical know-how and apply it to project creation and research.Network information technology provides the background for students’ exploration of innovative design in visual communication, where students consider the idea of matching of a project’s materials and subject with its environment and social context.
