A new IAMAS bag has been made. The bag's design was done by Nobue Kitakami of the Academy CGI course.

The motif of the bag is the IAMAS mascot(?) Kuroro.
The IAMAS bag will be handed out at IAMAS events, research presentations, and also during school tours.

IAMAS Ubiquitous Ware Project and Nissha's co-project exhibition of "The deepening and expansion of touch panel input" was held at the AXIS gallery in Roppongi.

At this presentation, research achievements were exhibited, a workshop and symposium were held, all of which drew in many visitors.
The wheel in the image is a prototype for a modeling system that uses a 3D multi-touch sensor.

IAMAS DSP Course Mobile Media Project's ActivityNxPC.Lab event, IAMAS WAREHOUSE, was held.

At this event, a broadcast of a sound/visual performance using the media skills of IAMAS alumni and current students, and a internet radio/Mi-channel was held. Beginning with IAMAS alumni, many visitors came to this event.

IAMAS Professor Takanori Endo held a workshop at the Gifu Skill Festival.

In this workshop, children made LED light masks with simple circuits.

Illumination work created by IAMAS volunteers is now on display for the Basho Genroku Illumination, sponsored by Ogaki city.

Basho Genroku Illumination runs from December 3rd to December 25th, 17:00-21:00 at the Ogaki Castle Park (Ogaki Castle Hall, west side).

IAMAS students and GifuRec members developed an iPhone app named Michi no Eki.

In Gifu Prefecture, there are 53 roadside stations. After Hokkaido, Gifu has the second largest number of roadside stations in Japan.
This iPhone app, usable during the GifuRec period, is a stamp rally app.

IAMAS joined the GifuRec Workshop.

IAMAS held various workshops, including an electric mask workshop, an AR changer workshop, and a CCCity game workshop. Many families, as well as other people, participated in the workshops.

From August 5th, a Fuyu persimmon wine named “Gifu Wine”, whose label and total design was handled by IAMAS, will be sold at Japanese-style inns and hotels for a limited time.

Using Fuyu persimmons grown in Gifu, “Gifu Wine” is a product that was realized with cooperation from the Chubu Denki, Gifu Industrial Technology Center, IAMAS, brewing companies and Japanese candy companies in Gifu, the Gifu University Industry-Government-Academia Fusion Center, and Softopia Japan. It is expected to be a tourism product that will promote Gifu in an entirely new way.

iPad2 came for all IAMAS students.
These are used for development of Application.

After considering a number of entries, the design of this year's IAMAS Eco Bag has been finalized. The choice was tough and we would like extend our thanks to everyone who participated in the design contest.

The winning design was submitted by Mr. JG of Ogaki.

The IAMAS "Branching Out" exhibition was held at the International Design Center in Nagoya.

This exhibition featured the work and research of the Ubiquitous Ware , Advanced Design, Surface Interface Design projects at IAMAS.

Exchange student Mar Canet Sola and resident researcher Varvara Guljajeva held a talk about their research, followed by a Q&A session with IAMAS students and faculty. Their research focuses on interactive game systems, organic machines, and artworks that involve unaware audience participation.

Mar and Varvara came to IAMAS from The University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz, Austria.
Over a two month stay, they created a game where the initial playscape is determined by a computer-executed algorithm which arranges a collection of vending machine photos they collected while in Japan. As the game progresses, players continue to add to the collage using a dice-based algorithm.

The group NxPC.Lab, which consists mainly of members from IAMAS and its DSP course,
put on the event "NxPC.Lab -Skull Session-" at the Apple Store in Ginza, Tokyo.

On the following day (Nov. 22nd) we held a club music event at Shibuya SECO. A number of guest DJs were added to the mix and we really got the floor thumping. There were also device-based VJ performances and a high resolution UStream video feed. This event proved to be a big step toward studying new dimensional, multi-layered media in relation to the "club experience".

"Bus graffiti art" was carried out in Ogaki GENKI HATSURATSU Market on November 7. Children enjoyed soap bubbles and dance in music of DJ.

Children showed a cool dance in music of DJ by DSP course student of IAMAS and an elderly person asked about the interior decoration of the bus with fascination.
Club event NxPC.LIVE where a DSP course, CGI course, an apprentice of go and the research student who participated this time participate in is held in Shibuya SECO on 11/22 Monday. In addition, we give presentation in Apple Store, GInza on 11/22 Sunday of the day before.please check it.
