<![CDATA[On Sunday, October 15, Ogaki Biennale concluded with a commemorative lecture and talk, "Another Instance of the Power of Chance." The large listening audience gathered at the Butokuden was captivated by Docter of Roundworms Koichiro Fujita's light and easy talk, the cause and relation between parasites and allergies, and the talk on incredible chance.
The bedrock theme of this Biennale, the concept of "Cycles" was regarded from an altogether different perspective in the talk with Director Yoshioka.
We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to each and everyone who visited and cooperated in this year's Biennale. Thank you!

<![CDATA[The Ogaki Janken Ensemble Workshop lecturers Yoshihisa Suzuki and Ritsuko Matsumoto carried out a marimba and percussion duo live performance at Butokuden on Sunday, Oct 1, from 18:00 – 19:00.
On the day of the event the performance was unaffected by the unfortunate rainfall, and was able to welcome many attendees. From songs that everyone knows like Steve Reich's modern music, to Aizubandaisan, to Turkish Rondo, all were performed as percussion instrument tunes with unimaginable dynamism, resonating within the wooden building. The sound of the two them enthusiastically playing, overlapping with the natural patter of rainfall made it an amazing fall evening.

"A sharp, lucid and careful tour around technology's reassembly of the body." This work is an attempt to communicate the sound of the silent body to the public mind by using periodic signals of human bodies in the environment of a hospital. Interactions between sound and spectator come out strongly in the surprising links between status and health. The conclusion is that in the moment we see someone do something, the same parts of our brain are activated "as if" we were doing it manually.
