カナダ・モントリオールで生まれ、近くのサン・ソーヴールで育つ。コンコルディア大学でコミュニケーション学と電子音楽を勉強しながらモントリオール大学で日本語を学ぶ。卒業後1999年に来日。三重県南島町（現南伊勢町）で英語指導助手を勤めた後、大阪の広告代理店でグラフィックデザイナーの仕事に就く。2002年に情報科学芸術大学院大学（IAMAS）に入学。2004年に修士課程修了後、岐阜県立国際情報科学芸術アカデミーのDSPコース講師になる。2007年から慶應義塾大学湘南藤沢キャンパス（SFC）で博士課程に在籍。
作品はArs Electronica Festival、国立台湾美術館や光州ビエンナーレなど、研究成果はNIME学会で発表し、また画像解析ソフトウェアを一般公開している。

Born in Montréal, Quebec, and raised in St-Sauveur-des-Monts. Undergraduate degree in communication studies with a minor in electro-acoustic music from Concordia University. Moves to Japan in 1999 where he teaches English in the town of Nanto, Mie Prefecture (now called Minami-Ise.) In 2001, works as a graphic designer for an advertisement agency in Osaka before entering the graduate programme at IAMAS. After completing a Master's degree in media creation in 2004, has been working as a lecturer in the DSP course at IAMAS' Academy. Since 2007 is pursuing a doctoral degree at Keio University.
His works have been presented in places such as the Ars Electronica Festival, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Gwangju Biennale. He has presented his research at annual NIME conferences and released computer vision software.
