The theme for the fifth Ogaki Biennale was “life to life.” This was the first Biennale to use the IAMAS campus as its stage. The event was divided into three areas modeled after three themes: “semi-underground,” “upper,” and “memory.” Events included project exhibitions; workshops by guest artists, faculty, and graduates; lectures; and live concerts. The cover is decorated with that year’s theme colors and symbols. Many of the pictures are in full color, but the event pages in the second half of the book are all in monochrome.
