＜Thunderbirdの場合＞
1. 「ツール」メニューから→「アカウント設定」を開く
2. 「サーバ設定」を開く
3. 「保護された認証（APOP、…）を使用する」をチェックする

＜Mail.app（Mac OS X標準メーラー）の場合＞
設定の必要はありません。

＜Outlookの場合＞
残念ながら、OutlookではAPOPはサポートされていないようです。以下のウェブページを参照してAPOPPERをセットアップしてください。
