BIOGRAPHY

Japanese Artist.
Born in Yamanashi prefecture, Japan in 1975.
Lives and works in Paris.


Trained in art history and mixture of advanced technology and artistic creation, Adoka Niitsu finds inspiration for her works in themes such as human condition and everyday life communication dominated by media technology.

She received "The Paris Prize" from The Fumiko Ômura Foundation of Joshibi University of Art and Design, Government Grant from the Ministry of Art and Culture of Japan (Bunkacho), Artistic fellowship from Ohki Foundation.

Based in Paris since 2010, she is developing her project focused on lithography and the history of reproduction of image and visual communication.

Mixing various technology and natural materials, she re-positions analogue media, in this age of digital reproduction, in a unique perspective.
