身体的不器用さのある子どものための、着座姿勢をサポートするプロダクトについての研究 ── 身体的な不器用さが要因で食事が取りづらくなっている生徒の事例を通して ──

Research on posture support products for children with coordination difficulties. – Through the case study of a student who has difficulty eating due to coordination difficulties. –

身体的不器用さがある子どもは、椅子に座って学習や食事等の作業をする際に姿勢を保つことが難しい場合があります。本研究では一人の生徒との実践を通して、デジタルファブリケーション機器を用いて製作した給食時の姿勢を補助する椅子を提案しました。姿勢を保つための筋力の向上や食事量の増加などの効果を期待し、生徒本人が生活しやすくなることを目指しています。

Children with physical clumsiness may have difficulty maintaining posture when sitting in a chair to learn, eat, or perform other tasks. Through practice with one student, this study proposed a chair that assists with posture during mealtime, which was fabricated using digital fabrication equipment. I expect the chair to improve muscle strength for maintaining posture and increase the amount of food eaten, thereby making life easier for the student him/herself.
