人工知能に代表される高度で複雑化したハイテクノロジーは、単なる道具に還元されブラックボックス化されるか、不可避で抗えない変化をもたらすものとして扱われる傾向にあります。本プロジェクトでは、テクノロジーに関する責任を手放さず、かといって決定論的なものだとして絶望しないための方策として、テクノロジーは誰もが自在に解釈し自分たちのものにできるという考え方に基づく作品群を提示すると共に、それらの作品群と体験者たちの経験を基に「テクノロジーの〈解釈学〉」として理論化することを試みています。IAMAS2026では、今年度に取り組んだ輪読・研究会・再制作という3つの活動より、三原聡一郎《空気の研究 / Study of Air》の再制作版を展示しつつ、三原氏を迎えた公開研究会と後期の活動を中心とした活動報告を行いました。

Highly developed and complex technologies represented by artificial intelligence tend either to be reduced to mere tools and subsequently black-boxed, or treated as something that will bring about inevitable and unopposable change. In this project, as a means to neither relinquish responsibility for technology nor despair by viewing it as deterministic, we present a series of works based on the idea that anyone can freely interpret technology and make it their own. Furthermore, drawing on these works and the experiences of participants, we attempt to theorize this approach as the “Hermeneutics of Technology”.
At the IAMAS 2026 Graduate Exhibition, drawing on the three activities conducted during this fiscal year, namely reading groups, research seminars, and re-creation, we exhibited a remade version of Soichiro Mihara’s Study of Air. Additionally, we presented an activity report focusing on the public research seminar with Mihara and our activities in the latter half of the year.
