本プロジェクトは、アーカイブとアーキタイプを同時に実現しようという考え方「Archival Archetyping」を掲げて活動してきた。最終年度となる今年度は、2021年3月31日に開催した分散型オンラインイベント「メタ・モ（ニュ）メント2021」のアーカイブ制作を中心に進めた。本イベントは、観客も作品の一部となるイベント化した展覧会、データがオリジナルではなく手元で「上演」されるものがオリジナルとなる、といった問題が顕在化する現場だった。作品だけを対象とする従来のアーカイブ制作手法を適用できない本イベントに関する議論をさらに深めるため、2021年7月23日に「メディア表現学会（仮称）」、11月19日に「〈NFTアート〉の可能性と課題」、合計2つのオンラインシンポジウムを学内外からのゲストも招いて開催した（いずれも本学紀要に収録）。これらの議論を通じて、物理空間を前提として醸成され、自明のものだと考えられていた展覧会や作品の概念を再考し再定義する機会を見出すことができた。最後に、本年度の活動の集大成として、アーカイブのプロトタイプなど展覧会「IAMAS 2022」において展示した。

This project carried out its activities under the concept of “Archival Archetyping,” which aims to simultaneously realize archiving and archetyping. This year, the project’s final year, we focused on creating an archive of the online event “Meta mo(nu)ment 2021,” which was held on March 31, 2021. This event was a site where issues are made tangible; now, exhibitions have transformed into events where the audience became part of the exhibit; the original is not the data but what is “performed” at hand. We couldn’t apply the conventional archival production method that handles only artworks, at this event. To deepen the discussion about this event, we held two online symposiums, “Society for Media Creation (tentatively named)” on July 23, 2021, and “Possibilities and Challenges of ‘NFT Art'” on November 19, 2021. With guests from inside and outside our school to these two online symposiums (both are included in the journal of our school). Through these discussions, we were able to create opportunities to reconsider and redefine what is an exhibition and an artwork; which were fostered on the premise of physical space and are considered self-evident. Finally, as a culmination of this year’s activities, we exhibited an archive prototype at the exhibition “IAMAS 2022”.
