「装置を用いた表現」と伝統的な芸能の習得／実践双方を通して、時間内表現の可能性を探る。それは「機械」と私たちの身体との関係をめぐる探求であり、メディアと人間存在との関係性を問うことでもある。
　今期は、濱地潤一と卒業生の福島諭による共同作曲プロジェクト《変容の対象》を取り上げた。前田真二郎が2009年から2019年の8月に撮影した映像作品《日々“hibi”AUG》の11作に、同じ月に作曲された11曲をあわせる上演作品を構想し、ピアノとサックスと映像送出によるアンサンブルを実現した。学内での試演を経て、2020年2月には愛知県芸術劇場「サウンドパフォーマンス・プラットフォーム」にて成果発表を行った。
　また、あらかじめパッケージ化された映像や音響の再生ではなく、生成され続けるそれらをネットワーク配信する形式をジェネラティブ・ストリーミング作品と名付け、その可能性を模索しながら参加学生が制作した2作品をIAMAS2020で公開した。
　通年、インドネシアの伝統芸能「ガムラン」のサークルを運営し、古典曲を練習するほか「養老アートピクニック」での学外発表なども積極的に行った。

By studying and implementing ‘device-based creation’ alongside traditional art, we will search for what possibilities ‘art-in-time’ has. This search examines how our bodies relate to machinery, and may lead us to question the relationship between media and human existence.
　This semester, we featured Henyo no Taisho, a collaborative composition created by Junichi Hamaji and IAMAS graduate Satoshi Fukushima. An ensemble piece featuring piano, saxophone and video was created out of Shinjiro Maeda’s Hibi Aug, a movie featuring 11 videos taken each August from 2009 to 2019, along with 11 songs composed the same months the videos were filmed. After performing this piece within the school, we presented it at the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater’s “Sound Performance Platform” in February 2020.
　At IAMAS 2020, participating students created two pieces that, rather than being a mere playback of pre-packaged sound and video, explores the possibilities of what we call ‘generative streaming’, a format that continually produces audiovisuals and transmits them over a network. Year round, we run the ‘Gamelan’ circle, other than meeting regularly to practice this traditional form of music, we actively performed outside the school at events like the ‘Yoto Art Picnic.’
