“Improvisational Handicrafting” has been garnering attention on social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. The short-form video series features Yuto Noro rolling two dice, each marked with different materials, and using the resulting combination to create a craft. These videos are broadcast by Yuto Noro, and after graduating from IAMAS, he began teaching in early childhood education settings. Drawing on his practices in art, programming, and workshops, he explores a recurring question through his craft videos: “What do I want to convey through my craft today?” Ryota Kuwakubo, who served as Noro’s sub-advisor during his master’s research, sat down with him to hear more about his ideas and approach.
