祇ノ竜は、複数モニターとペッパーズゴーストを用いた映像装置と数枚のパネルから構成される「マルチコマディスプレイ」により、漫画表現を空間的に拡張した映像インスタレーションである。モニターをコマと位置付けることで、コマが有している機能とそれに伴う表現を物理空間に拡張する。竜はコマ内部に独立する空間を越境できる存在であり、その超常的な特性により異なる時代を往来する物語は鑑賞者に時間と空間の再構成を促す。

Shi no Ryū is a video installation that spatially extends manga expression through a “Multi-Koma Display” composed of multiple monitors using Pepper’s Ghost and several panels. Treating each monitor as a panel expands panel functions into physical space. The dragon traverses the separate spaces inside these panels and invites viewers to reconstruct time and space across eras.
