This work is a device made to experience the consciousness of other
people. My motivation for making this work started after my experience
of caring of my father who was in vegetative state. It is uncertain
whether one is conscious or not in a vegetative state, but it is
frightening to think that one could be conscious. Inherent in humans are
natural healing power and the power to reduce psychological burden. I
want to believe in the possibilities of this power. It is said that only
the hearing ability remains until just before people pass away, and I
regret that I did not mention this thought to my father. Even if it is
one-sided love, nothing will get across if you do not speak out.
