media: Looped single-channel video work presented with MAC and Monitor in my studio at IAMAS


History as a Mirror, the single-channel video in the project, working together with another essay, The Gay Media, is trying to explore an emotional level of a kind of lack being an Asian media artist. Looking into the "macro" (general history) reflections through "micro" reflection (from personal history) should be a simple but authentic way to explore such a big topic at the first step. If media art could be about creating media, this is also a way to experiment my artist-self as a medium by using Japan as methodology.
